We toured Lakewood retirement community and it was a beautiful facility. The only reason we did not choose them was because we were looking for a leasing community rather than one you had to buy into and this was one you had to buy.
My review is from a year ago, so I am not sure if it has changed. The staff here was not happy and most of their staff did not like what they were doing and it showed with everything that they did. They do not interact with the residents, only as they have to. It seemed like they resented what they were doing. It was ok but certainly not warm.
Rude staff who are inattentive/ unobservant of medical issues. Some staff are aggressive and use a punitive tone with residents. Make sure you check on your family member daily.
