A massive senior citizen “resort living” development will be coming to the area of the Newnan Crossing Bypass, U.S. 29 and East Gordon Road.
This week the commissioners approved the rezoning of 359 acres for “Cresswind at Spring Haven,” which would include 750 homes for those 55-plus.

The retirement community would also have an extensive amenity center, walking trails and gardens, according to the applicant, Kolter Group Acquisitions.
“This is definitely resort-style living,” said attorney Melissa Griffis, representing the applicant. There will be numerous activities and events. “You can pretty much do anything, any day of the week, that you want to do in our community,” she said.
Part of the development will border Pearl Lake, which is visible along U.S. 29 south of Newnan and East Newnan Lake. It will be a gated community, with entrances on U.S. 29 and the Bypass, as well as along East Gordon Road at a newly configured entrance to East Newnan Baptist Church.
The development includes a large amount of acreage that is part of the William Banks Estate, but the Banks Haven home and property surrounding the home will not be included.
Residential units will be located on lots of 40, 50, 60 and 70 feet in width, with home sizes starting at 1,319 square feet.

The food may be edible but certainly not appetizing. If served in room the meal is usually not hot or warm – often cold. Schedule for meal service very irratic. Staffing is considerably inadequate and assistance in the room requires long waits for a disabled patient that needs assistance especially in the later afternoon or early evening. Never saw a MD for nearly 8 weeks and PA’s are over taxed with patients. RN’s are few and far between and overworked. I was a patient at this facility in October of 2016 and was very pleased and highly recommended that my wife be treated here in 2018 – I am extremely shocked at the present patient care, food and staffing. My rating would be a three
