Brookdale And Health Care Properties Have Expanded Robin Run Village An Indianapolis Senior Living Community That Can Accommodate Up To 700 Residents On Its 86
IndianapolisIn response to Indianas growing senior population, Robin Run Village, a continuing care retirement community at 5354 West 62nd St. in Indianapolis, recently completed an $11 million construction project that adds space and services.
The expansion, which is creating 40 new jobs, has been initiated by a joint venture between Health Care Properties and Brookdale, the senior living communitys management company.
The top floor of the new 3-story building is dedicated to those with Alzheimers and other dementias, offering 25 apartments in a secured setting, along with Brookdales Clare Bridge program of care, which is based on individual interests and also includes a spa and a rooftop terrace with pergola.
The facilitys first and second floors comprise 43 assisted living apartments and numerous amenities, including a library, activity rooms, bistro/pub area, lounge and private dining rooms. With completion of the project, Robin Run Village can now accommodate about 700 residents on its 86-acre campus.
As a continuing care retirement community, Robin Run Village had already offered assisted living and dementia care, as well as independent living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation.
This expansion of our assisted living and Clare Bridge Alzheimers and dementia care program gives us more capacity to meet needs as they change and evolve, David Pruett, Robin Run Village executive director, said in prepared remarks.

What Are We Doing
- With resident health and well-being in mind, Robin Run is now requiring associates to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Associate vaccination will help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 among residents and associates in our community, as well as the community at large.
- We are using our decades of senior-care experience and nationwide clinical reach to gain insights on how seniors experience COVID-19 recovery. In addition, we have worked directly with the CDC during the pandemic to keep them informed of the many impacts to seniors over the last 18 months.
