Husbands recent stay at Center was likened to being in the Twighlite Zone. Being clear minded and mainly needed daily assistance for recent surgery and therapy to regain strength. Therapy Team is Outstanding, other 22 hrs. Of care was a constant question to who was running the Nut House. So gladI was able to be by my Husbands side to witness the insanity. I recommend anyone needing to be here to Document Every thing.

Royal Palm Retirement Centre Apartments

Royal Palm Retirement Centre is clean and neat, but the pool could be better. The staff is great. I haven’t gotten into much yet since I havent been here long, but they have a long list of activities like bingo, cards, and a room with puzzles. I like the place because it’s pretty centrally located, so I can get anywhere I want to go by walking if I need to. I’m making new friends and I’m happy.

I Visited This Facility

Royal Palm was very nice. They showed me the apartments and the studio. They’ll build a game room where they actually got pool tables, but they’ve got all kinds of activities. The staff was very good, very professional and answered all our questions. They have both independent living and assisted living, but they’re separate. I could smell the food when we were there, but they have no samples. They showed me everything. They had a bathroom, a sink, a microwave, and a small refrigerator in the apartment.

Why Build A Custom Home

Sure, you could buy an existing home thats on the market for more than its worth, but then you have to hire crews to come in and renovate to ensure your home feels and functions exactly how you want. Why spend the extra money and deal with the headaches? Building a custom home in Port Charlotte is surprisingly affordable and provides you with your own piece of this beautiful community.

Rather than choosing from whats currently available, consider customizing your entire experience with a fresh home built just for you, in a location that meets your needs in terms of education, health care and proximity to major airports.

Going custom means that you have the flexibility to choose every last detail in your home. Knowing that your needs are unique and different from those of other homebuyers, you can have the luxury of being in control of the layout, design and functionality of your new home.

A Home Youve Built Also Holds Value Much Better Than Resale Homes

Why? The answer is two-fold:

First, a brand-new home is years away from needing major repairs, while an older home is susceptible to faulty wiring, substandard plumbing, decades-old roofing and the potential for water damage, pest infestation or other problems that are sure to cause migraines.

Secondly, newly-built homes provide energy-efficient technology and the latest in sustainable building. Todays regulatory standards are much more comprehensive than those of decades past, so when you opt to build rather than buy, you can feel secure knowing that your home is sturdy, safe and efficient.

All of these benefits must mean that the price tag is out of reach, right?

Nope. In fact, building a custom home can be around the same price as purchasing an existing home, but you have the added benefit of not needing costly maintenance, repairs, remodels or renovations on a new home. Your appliances are brand-new and still under warranty, and youll often be provided a builders warranty to protect you from any incidental losses.

Furthermore, when you build custom, you often get more for your money. While the average 50-year-old home can sell for about $148 per square foot, a new home costs, on average, $103 per square foot giving you more space at what amounts to a lower overall cost.

Medicaid Program In Port Charlotte

The federal government provides assistance to low-income residents who require various medical services through the Medicaid program. However, individual states can create Medicaid programs and waivers on a statewide level with their own eligibility requirements. In Florida, seniors will be most interested in the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care program, otherwise known as the SMMC.

The SMMC program started in 2014 as an alternative to all of the Medicaid waivers that the state government issued before this time. The available services include prescription drugs, visits to a doctor, hospitalization, mental health treatment and, if needed, transportation to and from applicable services. This program also covers some long-term care and all Medicaid dental services.

Low-income seniors who need help paying for their stay at a facility, such as assisted living or nursing homes, or in-home services, should take advantage of the Long-Term Care part of Floridas Medicaid. The LTC program provides these services for any adult who has been assessed as needing a nursing home level of care.

It is important to note that financial help from Medicaid to pay for assisted living or in-home care is not considered an entitlement in Florida, generally resulting in applicants being placed on a waiting list. However, nursing home care is an entitlement, which means that anyone eligible will receive services immediately if they are currently living in, or transferring to, a nursing home.
