Reviews For St Catherine Retirement Community
I had my mom here for two weeks then I moved her after a situation arose from her living there. She was without electricity for 4 days. No heat, no AC, nothing was working. They say they cleaned the apartment but they didnt. Dont be fooled by the smiles and excuses.
Prior to Covid-19, they had a lot of wonderful activities. I would highly recommend St Catherine. They are really doing a good job to keep residents safe. They are doing a good job to communicate with the residents and their families. The food is okay, there are some cultural differences in food prep, seasonings, and types of offerings.
Easy to socialize and also easy to have days to myself. Staff are helpful when I need them. Plenty of room. Originally came here because I started to have medical issues.
The people care and it’s well organized here. Size of the rooms and having two bathrooms is very nice.
The activities and the people are nice. I love the staff.
I like the staff and the people. I have friends here. And I like the food!
I love it here. It’s home. I love going with activities out to lunches. I like everything about here.
There is always something going on to have fun. I meet new friends and enjoy talking to the staff. This is my home.
They treat you as a person, not as a number. The food is good. The staff care and check on you.
Have enough room for all my furniture and for family visits. Also, the staff are very friendly. It feels like home.

Using this device, therapists can begin early ambulation in patients who are not able to support themselves on their legs. Specifically, the device allows therapists to begin gait training very early in patients who have suffered neurological or orthopedic injury. Scientific evidence supports the use of this device in retraining the brain when patients are relearning use of the legs. There is strong evidence linking early rehabilitation in this type of device and subsequently improved ambulation . The device can be used over a treadmill or over land.

St. Catherine of Siena Convent and Healthcare Center
Healthcare: Promoting Wellness in Mind, Body and Spirit
St. Catherine of Siena Convent opened its doors on December 12, 1962 as a home for the infirm and retired Sisters of St. Dominic. This event marked the fulfillment of Mother Aquinas greatest desire, expertly carried out by her successor Mother Dolorita.
On Moving Day there were fourteen patients who made the Infirmary their new home. At the height of its growth, the Infirmary housed eighty-eight infirm and retired sisters.
With the passing of time and the diminishing number of sisters, a decision was made to apply to the State of New Jersey for a license as a skilled nursing facility in order to maximize the use of the building and extend this gift of compassionate care beyond members of the Caldwell Dominican community.
In March 1998, St. Catherine of Siena, Inc. became its own corporation and began the licensure process. After extensive renovations to the building, St. Catherines Healthcare Center became licensed as a 30-bed, skilled nursing facility in 2001. In the Dominican tradition of hospitality and outreach to those in need, skilled nursing care is now extended to members of other religious communities, the clergy, and family members of the Caldwell Dominican sisters.

St Catharines Life Lease
Life lease structures tend to be part of the non-profit sector and involve ownership different to a traditional condominium. The resident purchases a leasehold interest in the property. There are monthly maintenance fees much like a condominium, but the purchase price is less than a traditional condominium. The corporation holds title to the property and sets the eligibility guidelines for who may purchase a leasehold interest. Many properties are connected to seniors resources so on-site support can be purchased through an affiliated agency. It does allow for some aging in place though residents do need to be fairly independent. The amenities, purchase price, maintenance fees and extra service costs will vary depending on various factors including the owner, location and type of structure.
